Headturners was founded on June 6th, 1997, by Diana, following a heartfelt promise to her mother who sadly passed away from breast cancer just six months earlier. One of her mum’s greatest wishes was for Diana to open her own salon – a dream that became reality when Headturners first opened its doors in Cattlemarket. Though her mum never got to see what Headturners would become, her spirit and inspiration continue to guide everything we do.

 

Getting the salon ready was a true labour of love. Diana’s husband worked tirelessly for three months, pouring his time, energy, and skill into transforming the space and helping bring her vision to life. Together, they created more than just a salon – they built a dream.

 

After five successful years in Cattlemarket, the business outgrew its original space and moved to our current home at 5 Harnett Street, where it has continued to flourish, becoming a well-loved part of the local community.

 

We believe that growth comes through learning, and we’ve committed ourselves to continual professional development. Our team trained with Wella London for over 20 years, and for the last 7 years, we’ve been proud to work with L’Oréal Professionnel, training at their prestigious Hammersmith Academy. These world-class partnerships keep us at the forefront of hairdressing innovation and ensure our clients receive the very best.
